DIRECTOR | Occupational Therapist

Steph is the Director of The Nurtured OT, a Mum of 2 young girls, and  a passionate paediatric and maternal health Occupational Therapist.

She brings a deeply compassionate, gentle and relational approach to her work — recognising that regulation, connection and development don’t happen in isolation. She believes in meeting families where they are, honouring each child’s and parents unique nervous system, and creating practical, nurturing supports that feel achievable in real life.

She brings a gentle, relational approach that honours the whole person — whether that’s a child learning to navigate their world or a parent finding their rhythm in motherhood.

Steph’s work weaves together the lenses of sensory processing, attachment, regulation, and attunement, recognising that every nervous system has its own rhythm. She aims to create a space where families feel safe, seen, and supported.

Steph works with parents (for parent consults), mothers (for maternal health services) and with children (for early intervention services), along with running many of the groups and workshops The Nurtured OT have to offer. She is also runs our paediatric sleep program.

Steph holds a Bachelors Degree in Science (Occupational Therapy) and is  a certified Paediatric and Sleep Practitioner, a Circle of Security™ Facilitator and has completed her Level 1 EMDR training. She has also completed numerous clinical trainings and workshops in areas including trauma, sensory processing, regulation, childhood development, attachment and mental health since finishing university.

Steph holds her Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA, is a member of OT Australia, and has a valid First Aid certificate, Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance.
