About Us

At The Nurtured OT, we believe that every child and parent deserves to feel safe, capable, and connected. Our work is grounded in attachment, regulation, and holistic wellbeing — supporting not just the parent or the child, but the whole family system around them. We approach therapy with gentleness and attunement, recognising that meaningful progress happens when relationships come first.

Whether it’s helping a child develop everyday skills through play, guiding parents to understand their child’s sensory and emotional needs, or walking alongside mums as they navigate the profound changes of matrescence — our goal is always the same: to nurture confidence, connection, and calm.

The Nurtured OT provides a safe space for growth — one where families can slow down, reconnect, and feel supported in a way that honours their unique story.

We are so glad you’ve found us!

An Occupational Therapy
Approach in Childhood

Occupational therapy during infancy and early childhood supports infant/toddlers and children to build the skills and confidence they need for daily life and play.

At The Nurtured OT, we use gentle, play-based approaches to support your child’s development in ways that feel safe, nurturing, and fun. Sessions are guided by your child’s unique sensory, emotional, developmental and physical needs, with a strong focus on connection and attunement — because children grow best when they feel understood and supported.

You might see an occupational therapist if your little one:

  • Finds it hard to regulate their emotions or settle

  • Shows sensitivities to sound, touch, visual stimulus, smells, movement, or textures

  • Struggles with sleep, feeding, or toileting routines

  • Has challenges with motor skills such as balance, coordination, or hand use

  • Finds transitions or new environments overwhelming

  • Needs support to engage, communicate, or play with others

Together, we’ll explore supports and experiences that nurture regulation, independence, and joy — supporting your little one to thrive in their own time and in their own way.

An Occupational Therapy
Approach in Motherhood

Motherhood is one of the most transformative experiences we can go through — it changes our bodies, our identities, our relationships, and the rhythm of our everyday life as we knew it. Yet, it’s often a time when support for mothers is overlooked. At The Nurtured OT, we recognise that caring for mothers throughout this process is just as important as the care that we give our children.

Our occupational therapy services for motherhood focuses on nurturing you — the woman behind the mother. Grounded in matrescence, attachment, sensory support and holistic wellbeing, our approach supports the mental, emotional, and sensory needs for mothers that often arise through the pregnancy period, postpartum period, and beyond.

In our sessions we may explore things like identity shifts, emotional regulation, sensory overload, and creating routines and rhythms that feel sustainable and nourishing for you and your family.

Through gentle guidance and practical strategies, we help you rediscover balance, connection, and confidence — so that you can feel supported in your role and a mother.
